| Hon. Lapwony Tingo Bonifance (RIP) |
The District is currently
mourning the death of Hon Lapwony Tingo Bonifance (RIP) the Councilor for
Panyango Sub County. Tingo died on Wednesday 11th September 2013 at Mulago
hospital. Tingo was the longest serving councilor after having joined the
council in 1998. He served in various capacities, having been the secretary for
social services up to 2006. By the time of his death he was a member of Community,
Elderly, Disabled and Social Service Committee of the council.
According to the District
Speaker Hon Idda Fuambe, a council session will be held on Friday 13th
September 2013 to pay tribute and last respect to Late Hon Tingo. Alia
seraphine observed that Hon. Tingo was a very eloquent and objective councilor
who spoke out his mind for the development of Panyango and Nebbi district at
large. He said that Tingo used his experience both in civil service and council
to ensure that the rights things are done. He noted that Tingo will surely be
missed in the council.
